Designed for rigging applications with bi-directional loads the D style shackle has straight sides with a U-shape rounded bottom. The U-shaped end can handle heavy loads, loads on the straight sides, however, may cause bending. Constructed of forged 316 stainless these shackles feature a captive pin closure. When open the pin completely clears the opening of the shackle and is recessed into a secured flush position. The pin remains captive and will not fall out, no risk of loss due to vibration. With other shackles, the pin is not flush until you partially unscrew it. Ideal for rigging applications where single-handed operation is required.
